So we didn't get our information on Friday. It was actually a day earlier, on Thursday.
Good news: WaFed is not worried about being over staffed for at least a year so I get to keep my job.
Bad news: Thursday morning my Branch Manager was let go. This was so far out of left field that no one even expected it. She ran both the Burlington and Mount Vernon Branches so we figured she would be at one or the other locations. Obviously that's not the case. She will be missed greatly.
I have gotten my resume and application out to a few places, nothing serious, and I haven't heard back from any one of them. The plan is just to hang with WaFed until something better comes my way.
I have even toyed with the idea of going back to school and have looked into a few different things. Mostly, I have looked into cosmetology. If nothing else it would be good to know how to do my own hair, and how to do it cute like my hair lady does :O) But no, in all seriousness I think it would be something I would be good at. Michelle, my hair lady in Spokane, has a shop in her basement, is extremely successful, makes her own hours, is home for the kids, and so on. I would love to be able to do that. I've done a little looking into a few schools in Mount Vernon and Bellingham, and only a few of them offer night classes. But, just maybe that will be in my future. Who knows.
OH, and I also talked to my best friend today. She called from work, asked if I was sitting down, made me promise I wouldn't get mad at her, and told me she peed on a stick today. She is pregnant. I am so excited for her. She will make such a great Mom, I just know it!
