33 weeks

Wow, ok. So how much have I missed posting. There just never seems to be enough time in a day. Between work, sleep, eating, peeing, and more sleep.

After our doctors appointment today I figured this would be a good time. No, no don't worry. Everything is good. We didn't see our normal doctor, Dr. Roland, who's baby was due yesterday and still has not arrived. It was a little weird walking into the other side of the office and not seeing our normal doctor or nurse.

We didn't get to see the babies today, and that is not something I am use to. But we did get to hear both of their heart beats. (One of the most amazing sounds by the way.) Both hearts are strong and healthy. My belly is the same size as a full term pregnancy with one baby. So that explains why I am so uncomfortable and I don't expect that to get any better any time soon.

Our lower little one, Baby "A" also known as Hannah, is still head up. I'm not sure if at this point there is any room for her to turn around. So, because of that and a few other reasons, we scheduled a c-section for December 13th. I'm not sure if we will make it that long but we sure are going to try.

As of right now I am only working 4 hours a day and we hope that will help keep these little girls keep "cooking" as long as possible. And as much as I want to be done being being pregnant, I want the girls to be healthy and not have to stay in the hospital at all. I would love to be able to bring them home with us when I get to leave. Fingers crossed!

Well, I think that's it. I will try to update more often. Here is to 5 more weeks :O)

32 weeks = no sleep

Here it is, 3:05 am on Tuesday October 25th, and I am awake. Why you say? You think it is easy to sleep at this point? Absolutely not. On Friday, 4 days ago, we were measuring at 39 weeks. AKA the size of a full term singleton pregnancy. And I know I have grown in the last few days even.

I was reading my "What to Expect" book tonight thinking to myself that I was in for a long next couple of weeks. At this point, EACH girl is gaining about a half a pound a week. Thats ONE NEW POUND of baby each week! That just seems crazy to me. Oh man, where is all this weight going to go??? My tummy already feels really heavy at the end of the day. What is it going to be like in 2 weeks? Or in 4 weeks (if we can make it that long)?

Yesterday was my first day of working part time. It was really nice not having to go into work until 11 o'clock and being off at 3 o'clock. I had so much energy when I got home from work. I worked on organizing the Girls' room, again. But then about 4:30 or so I hit a brick wall and didn't regain any energy the rest of the night. My guess is that is my magic time to get things done before time for a nap.

I am very thankful to have such an amazing husband. Even though I was home first, and really should have started something good for dinner, he didn't mind. We ended up having pasta and veggies. And even that was a group effort. Thanks babe for not wanting a 3 course meal :O)

I am starting to get a little sleep right now, this blogging thing in the middle of the night might become a habit...at least until these little girls get here. I will try harder to update more than once every trimester.

Shower in Burlington

Yesterday we had our 2nd of 3 baby showers for Hannah and Hailey. It was at our house in Burlington and It was a lot of fun. I got to see some ladies from high school that I haven't seen for a long time. Plus ladies from work that we never just get to hang out. It was nice to see everyone and not have to think about work...just babies :O)

Katina, an amazing friend went all out for the showers with balloons, an awesome cake, and diaper cake to name a few. I will post more pictures of the shower when I get them from her. Thank you Katina for an awesome baby shower! I am very lucky to have you as a friend!!

One of the things we did was puffy paint onesies and bibs. Here are a few pictures of the finished products. I think they turned out pretty darn cool!

Above onesies done by Elizabeth.

Translation (only because I had to ask her)...I love mommy/daddy

Above made by Kellie

I can't wait to put the girls in these for their first Tiger Basketball game!!

Above is the back of the BE Tigers onesies.

We thought this would make them that much more adorable.

42 and 43 were Jake's numbers when he played basketball at North Central High School

Taron made the bib above. So stinkin' cute if you ask me :O)

Being that we are big BE Tiger fans I figured these were in order.

Cant not have a bib stating you are their number one fan.

I love how these turned out! Once they are all dry, I will post the pictures from the other ones. It was a great activity for a baby shower. Glad it all worked out :O)
