33 week pictures

I know I have said it before, but Jennifer takes amazing pictures. She has taken our 3 year anniversary pictures. Along with 22 week belly pictures. She is awesome!

Here are a few pictures she took with Jake, the belly (of course) and I at 33 weeks...

I absolutely love these pictures. The belly to belly (just above) cracks me up! Too bad Jake didn't push his belly out more :O)

Thank you Jennifer for these amazing memories. And for anyone out there, in the Skagit County area, who needs pictures visit her website.

Out for eggs

Yesterday, day 2 of not working, was an eventful day. I got to go with Katina to get our toes done. She deserved it, for being such a great friend, but also for hosting a great baby show for me and the girls. Thanks a million Katina!

When I got home with pretty toes, I was looking to see what to make for dinner. I got slide tracked. Rather then getting something to eat I decided to make jello cup cakes. As I am getting everything ready, mixing everything together and such, I realize I am one egg short. Off to Fred Meyer I go. Now, mind you, I am going JUST for eggs. Oh, and to return a shelving unit I bought that I thought would be able to go in the Hannah and Hailey's room. But just eggs.

I did get the eggs...here is proof. But only after I got a few other things.
This is probably why Jake does most of the grocery shopping. That and I am usually way to tired to walk around the store. Very quickly my little shopping cart was filled with things we really don't need, but they looked oh sooooo good. Like the peppermint ice cream! As I was getting the pears, there were two ladies talking about apple sauce, who could not get apple sauce after hearing about it, right?

I guess this pregnant lady has not self control at this point when it comes to grocery shopping. Good news is, I didn't spend any extra money after returning the shelves :O) And I actually got the cupcakes made last night and put the jello in them this morning. I hope they turn out. I've never had jello cupcakes.

One more thing checked off the list

Today has been a productive day. Long, but productive. And...to make it better, my head isn't killing me as it has been the last few days.

Jake got the changing table put together. Behind it...all our diapers. And actually, not all of them. We still have a full plastic bin of size one diapers that are in the garage now. My guess is we still don't have enough. But it is a start.

My contribution to today's activities (besides this being the 2nd blog post of the day) would be putting together the high chairs for when the girls are a little bigger. (Thank you to the Mack and the Fox family for the chairs!) I know we wont need them for a while but where do you put a big box? We decided it was much easier to just put them together and put them on the chairs. So much for having 4 usable chairs :O)

It feels like we are getting ready for the girls to get here. At least the rooms are ready :O)

Hospital bag

With our last doctors appointment not really going the way we hoped, I figured that today was a good day to get our hospital bag ready. My blood pressure is high enough that I am not to be working any more. On Wednesday it was 140 over 100 and it didn't go down more than a few points when they had me lay on my left side. With the high blood pressure comes the constant headache. Needless to say, it is going to be a long few weeks until these girls are born.

But...they might be here before we know it, so we might as well be ready. Jake is putting together the changing table today. And we are going to get the car seats in my car sometime this weekend.

My task, while my head doesn't hurt to bad, get the bag ready. So what do we fill it with? I found a few websites to see. This is what they say to bring...

Shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrush, cosmetics and other toiletries
Glasses, in case you have to remove contact lenses
Comfortable PJs (bring a couple), slippers and a robe
CDs
(iPod and iPod radio)
Video and still cameras (with charged batteries)
Socks
Pillows
Playing cards, puzzles, magazines, books
(things to keep us entertained...not sure if we need)
Laptop and your favorite DVDs
Hard candies to suck on during labor
Moisturizer
Pencil, notepad and a watch for timing contractions
(we are having a c-section so not necessary)
Phone numbers for family and friends (aka cell phones and chargers)
Nursing bra, if you plan to breastfeed
Underwear (several pairs)
Street clothes
Presents from the baby, if you have other children
(n/a)
An outfit for the baby (babies), including socks, onesie, diaper and hat
Baby blanket
Infant car seats

What else? Anyone who has had children, do you have any suggestions on what else we should bring? Or, maybe something on the above list we don't need? Like, do we really need a diaper? Just one diaper? We were also told at our birthing class to bring food. Especially because the father might not want to leave to go get food during the first few hours of the babies life. There is a fridge in each room :O) I know we also need some things for Jake, but I think I am going to leave that up to him.

Their first Christmas

Our little girls are going to be here before we know it. We have made it to week 34...only a few more to go.

Because every little girl needs a little red dress for Christmas, for Hannah and Hailey's first Christmas they will have little red dresses.

Can't wait to post a picture of the girls in their Christmas dresses :O)

And the room is done...almost

This afternoon, I got the email I had been waiting for...Our changing table for the girls room is in! Now all we have to do is pick it up and put it together. Other then that the girls room is done! Woohoo! We still need to do some organizing to do. Like finding a place for all of our diapers we have collected over the past few months.

You know what is crazy, we might have what seems like tons of diapers...but I added them up the other day, and we have enough newborn diapers to last the FIRST MONTH. And probably not much more then that. I did buy another box today on my way home from work so that brings our total up to maybe 650 or so. Oh man, any one have any idea how to get more diapers for crazy cheap? I thing we need as many ideas as possible :O)

Even though we are going to need tons of diapers and lots of diaper changes, I am very excited for these little girls to get here.
